Monitoring Agent Configurator

The monitoring agent installer includes the agent_configurator configurator, which you can use to check the agent status and modify its settings.

The configurator executable is located at C:\Program Files\OperavixAgent\agent_configurator.exe. You can run the configurator only under an account with local administrator rights.

After launch, the configurator window opens with the following fields:

• State – reflects the agent operation status
  
  • Agent is running
  • Agent is not authorized on the server
  • Server is unavailable
• Version – current agent version
• Last activity – time of the last successful data transmission to the server
• Server address – application server URL specified in the agent settings

The configurator window provides three actions:

• Agent update – requests the application server to check for a new agent version. If it is available, the agent updates automatically
• Refresh – reloads information in the window
• Change settings – opens the Settings window, where you can modify the server address and proxy settings for this agent

To change the server address in the Settings window:

• Enter the required application server URL
• Specify the API key value
• Select the key type:
  
  • Standard
  • SSL certificate
  • Active Directory

If needed, you can also adjust the proxy server settings for the monitoring agent in this window.
