Monitoring Agent Distribution

To download the monitoring agent distribution, navigate to the Settings > Download Monitoring Agent section in the web interface. Before clicking the Download Agent button, specify the settings in the following fields:
- API Key — this key will be used by the agent to authenticate with the application server. By default, the system already includes an API key named "Monitoring Agent", which can be used. Additional API keys for agents can be created in the system if needed.
- Server Address — the URL the monitoring agent will use to connect to the server. This field is populated automatically. If necessary, it can be modified to be a full FQDN matching the SSL certificate configured for the application server.
- Proxy Server — if needed, you can specify proxy server settings different from the system defaults for the agent to use (rarely used in practice).
- Installer — if Windows (exe) is selected, the distribution will be an executable
.exefile. If Windows (msi) is selected, the agent distribution will be an archive containing an.msipackage and an.mstanswer file, which can be used to install the agent via Group Policy (GPO). If Astra Linux is selected, the agent will be downloaded in.debformat; if Alt Linux is selected, it will be downloaded in.rpmformat. - Auto-update — this toggle controls whether the agent's automatic update feature is enabled (the agent will automatically download and install updates from the Operavix server if available).
After specifying all settings, click Download Client to start downloading the distribution file. The downloaded file can then be used to install the monitoring agent on employees' workstations.
Installation, updating, and removal of the monitoring agent, depending on the operating system it is installed on, are described on the following pages:
