Access Settings for Workspaces
In this article
On the Access tab, you can configure access for users or departments to a workspace. To configure access, click + Access.
Select one of the following options:
- Read access: users can view elements in the workspace
- Write access: users can view, create, edit, and delete elements in the workspace
- Create dashboards access: users can create dashboards in workspaces where they have access
In the panel that opens, select the users or departments to grant access to. If you select a department, access is granted to all users in that department.
Search and filter are available above the list. Use search to find users or departments faster. The filter helps you refine the selected users or departments and remove unnecessary ones by clicking the close icon to the right of the name.
When the required users or departments are selected, click Save.
Note
- You can grant access to a workspace from its profile to any user in the list, regardless of whether they are available to the assigner.
- You can also assign access to users from their profiles. The selection is made from the list of workspaces where the assigning user has Edit access or the W operation in the Workspace privilege.
