Access to Global Workspace Indicators

# Global Workspace Indicators

Global workspace indicators allow you to:

- Refine report data
- Configure a single indicator and apply it across all reports within the selected workspace
- Reduce the risk of errors in formulas and calculations

The system supports two types of global workspace indicators:

- Dimensions
- Measures

[Workspace dimensions and measures#Workspace Dimensions and Measures](../2.Dashboards/2.1.Edit_mode/25.Dimensions_and_measures.md) are a shared set of indicators defined at the data model level. These dimensions and measures can be used in any dashboard or widget without duplicating formulas.



## Access to Global Workspace Indicators

Global workspace indicators can only be edited in the *Data model* tab. To edit them, the user must be granted the *Workspace* privilege. The following operations are available for global workspace indicators:

- **R** – read  
- **W** – read/write/create/delete
