Release Types
The Operavix system has two types of new version releases:
- LTS (Long-Term Support) — versions with long-term support, intended for stable use over an extended period
- Regular — versions with shorter support periods, providing early access to new features
This page describes the characteristics of each release type, their support timelines, and recommendations for selecting a version for different usage scenarios.
LTS Releases
LTS releases are published on a fixed schedule four times per year: in March, June, September, and December.
Each LTS version is supported for 12 months. During this period, the following are provided for the version:
- Security updates
- Bug fixes
- Technical support
LTS builds undergo extended testing and compatibility verification.
Regular Releases
Regular versions are also released on a regular basis. They are suitable for users who need to access new features as soon as possible.
Characteristics of intermediate versions:
- Early access to new capabilities, including experimental features
- Shorter support period — up to 6 months
- Testing scope may be reduced compared to LTS releases
Selection Recommendations
For stable and long-term operation, we recommend installing LTS versions. The fixed release and support schedule allows you to plan internal processes and reduce risks during upgrades.
If you need to receive new features as early as possible, choose Regular versions, but consider their limitations regarding support duration and stability level.
