In the Connections section, you can configure the outgoing mail server and technical support contacts.

Outgoing Mail Server

On the Outgoing mail server page, configure the SMTP server parameters that the system will use to send email messages. To configure the server, in the Connection tab, specify the following parameters:

  • E-mail address — the address from which emails will be sent
  • Server address — FQDN or IP address of the SMTP server
  • Connection port
  • Encryption (Off/TLS/SSL)
  • Account (On/Off). If the account is enabled, the following fields appear:
    • Username — used for authentication on the SMTP server
    • Password (if a password was previously set, the Change password button appears)
  • Status (Enabled/Disabled)

If you select Off for the Encryption parameter, the system can connect using either an encrypted (STARTTLS) or unencrypted channel, depending on the configuration of the connection port. When connecting to an encrypted channel, certificate validation is not performed, meaning a secure connection is not established.

The status allows you to enable or disable the outgoing mail server. When the status is Disabled, you can still test the connection.

Outgoing mail server configuration

When all required fields are filled, the following buttons become available:

  • Save — saving triggers a connection test. If the outgoing mail server is configured correctly, a connection test success email will be sent to the specified email address. The outgoing mail server settings are saved regardless of the connection test result
  • Test connection — performs only a connection test without saving the settings. The test result is displayed as a message

Technical Support Contacts

In the Contacts tab, specify technical support contact information. By default, the technical support contacts are set to those of Operavix.

Default technical support contacts

To change the technical support contacts, select Custom in the Technical support field.
