Monitoring Filters

On the Monitoring Filters page, you can enable and configure lists of programs for which the monitoring agent will collect or ignore user activity.

Activity Filter Setup

Include and exclude lists are lists of activities for which statistics should or should not be collected in the system.

If selected:

  • Disabled — activity is not filtered by monitoring agents
  • Include list — monitoring agents will collect information only for programs included in the list
  • Exclude list — monitoring agents will collect information for all programs except those specified in the list

When selecting an include or exclude list, you must specify the applications and websites for which activity will or will not be collected.

Exclude List

In the table, specify:

  • Type (application or website)
  • Mask (program name or website URL)

Some programs, like Microsoft Word, may have different names in different versions. To combine all versions, you can use the * symbol placed after the name (for example, Word*). All characters following * will be ignored. This way, programs named *Word 2003, Word 11, Word 2016* will automatically be grouped together.

Applications to be added to the include and include lists should be specified as masks based on the name as it appears in the exe-file properties under the General tab in the Description line.
